The HDP5000PB12 Digital Perfect Binding Machine is a 12-clamp system designed for short-run and on-demand production of books, notepads and NCR forms, with a maximum mechanical speed of 5,000 books per hour. It can operate inline with digital printing and finishing systems or as a standalone machine. Microprocessor control, servo-driven adjustments and one-touch job changeover coordinate the main binding processes and reduce manual setup between jobs. Book blocks are loaded from outside the machine, providing accessible operation and simplified maintenance, while the automatic thickness-measurement system reads the book block and adjusts the relevant processing units according to the detected thickness. A vertical automatic cover feeder enables continuous cover feeding, with laterally adjustable guide rails for accurate alignment. The spine preparation section combines notching and fine milling to control glue penetration and expose the paper fibres for bonding. An independently servo-driven gluing system uses a spine-side-spine roller arrangement to regulate adhesive application across the spine and sides, while the pneumatic glue cut-off length can be adjusted during production. A dual-cam nipping platform consolidates the cover and forms a flat, straight book spine, and the automatic lowering and delivery mechanism releases finished books smoothly from the clamps to reduce spine deformation. The one-piece machine frame provides structural rigidity and low vibration during high-speed operation.
